Thursday 16 October 2014

Well I am absolutely delighted to have become part of the Loose Women Team. I appeared on the show when it first started over 10 years ago and its great to be back. The format is more up to date and I love the new ladies they have bought on board. I am doing my second show this Friday 17th.

Sam and I are busy getting The Bull Theatre Panto on. They are doing Dick Whittington in Barnet. Its going to be a great show. Sam is directing and I have taken all the pictures and created the art work. We are very excited as it the first professional Panto they have had there in years. Its well worth a visit.

We won't get to see it as we will be in our Panto in Cardiff. We are doing Cinderella and I am Fairy Godmother. Its a change from being wicked. Sam is doing ugly sister. Its going to be very strange waiting for him to take his make up off at the end of the show.

Finally I must plug my daughter Lucy's Panto in Swindon. She is playing Alice in Dick Whittington. It will be her first year away from us over Christmas.

If I don't talk to you before, have a wonderful Christmas and come and see us if you are in the Cardiff area.
Lots of love

Monday 7 October 2013

Just got back from an exciting day launching my new range of cloths by JAMI. The buzz was amazing and all the stockists and press just loved the designs. Take a look at
www.jamiclothing.com
We were at the beautiful Bloomsbury Hotel in London with Champaign and nibbles. Thank you to all the lovely people that turned up to support us with this new Autumn/Winter range.

I’m very proud and excited to be launching my new Autumn/Winter range for JAMI. This is the first time I have been involved in designing and creating new styles that will be available in high-end boutiques both in the UK and globally.
“The fabrics and colours that we are using are easy to wear and comfortable – this is exactly the type of style and design that I love. The versatile range allows you to dress up in high heels and jewellery for an evening out or simply put flip-flops on and wear them on holiday.
“Many women over 50, as I am, do not want to have their arms showing and sometimes their waist line is not as slim as they would like, the fact that you can layer these colours and styles makes you feel more confident about your figure. Having said that, the range is also cross-generational – my teenage daughter has introduced all her friends to it!
“All the garments are made inside the UK and the quality of the fabric makes them long-lasting and they won’t go out of shape in the wash.
“I’ve had a lot of fun working with the team on these designs and I hope you love the range as much as I do.
Check out the photo shoot for the range...

Saturday 5 October 2013

I was so privileged to give out an award at the Women Of Inspiration for Breakthrough Breast Cancer on Saturday. So many brave women. It was heart breaking to see Steve, Bernie Nolan's husband and their daughter Erin. Linda Nolan was there with them to collect an award for Bernie who lost her battle with Cancer earlier this year. It only seems like months ago we had a BBQ in my garden and Bernie was on the mend.

Sunday 14 April 2013

Hi Its April already and I haven't written anything since October 2012. I must be the worst blogger ever. Well lets see what have i been up to .....
Panto Season in Darlington was just brilliant. Its the fist time I have played Carrabosse in Sleeping Beauty and I loved it. We had a great cast including Philip Meeks who played the Dame and has become a close friend. We are going to be in Northampton next year

Philip at Nurse Dolly

He is a great writer and he used to write scripts for Emmerdale when I was in the show. He has a wonderful horror story we are hoping to make into a film. We had some positive meetings about it last week. I will keep you posted. My skincare range is going really well. I am doing Pick of The Day on the 6th May and the range will be at its best ever price.

Tune into to Pick of The Day 6th May Ideal World Shopping Chanel

Sam is away doing his one man show on cruise ships at the moment but he had a part playing a cop earlier this year in the new Danny Dyer film Vendetta so look out for that one..
Sam Kane in Vendetta

It was fun seeing the picture I took of Danny Dyer in Leicester Square at the Premier of Run For Your Wife. I have never seen my picture blown up to 50 ft high.

Run for Your Wife
I have been working with Pharma Nord to promote their Omega 7. It is fantastic and I have been taking it for a year now. I had very dry eyes in the mornings and it has got rid of the symptoms completely. It has also helped with my back ache. Brilliant stuff check it out.
I have just signed a big deal which is happening in September so let you know more about that then.
The children are both fit and well and Lucy auditioned for Italia Conti Drama college and was excepted so thats her sorted for when she leaves school in the summer.
Life is good and the sun is out today. Off for Sunday lunch in the pub now.
Talk to you soon

Friday 26 October 2012

Had a lovely time doing a make over day with the Ladies from Chestnut Tree House Hospice this week. The work they do there is so important and it was nice to be able to pamper them for a day.
Last night we went to the regional premier of 'Skyfall'. It was brilliant and a welcome return to the old style Bond Movies with that occasional unexpected witty comment thrown in. The kids loved it and they got to sit in a 1966 Aston Martin.

My manager David Hill also enjoyed being Bond for the night along with Jacks friend Sam.

I am thrilled to receive Ideal Worlds Beauty Award for the best cleanser for MY MIRACLE skincare range. Thanks to all of you who voted for it.

It will soon be Panto time so and I am joining Sam on one of his working cruises to Barbados next month before Sleeping Beauty in Darlington starts.

Tuesday 11 September 2012

Hi There,
So sad summer is nearly over but what a brilliant one with the Olympics and Celebrity Big Brother. I really enjoyed appearing on Big Brothers Bit on The Side. Got to meet Prince Lorenzo and Julie Goodyear. I don't think she did herself any favours the way she behaved. Tried to ask her about it but she wasn't having any of it. I think the right person won. Just love Julian.

Taking part in the BGC Charity day today at Canary Wharf. Should raise lots of money for my chosen charity The Willow Foundation.

Can't beleive my little Lucy was 16 years old yesterday. It seems like she was only born yesterday. I love her so much she is the nicest person and I have never had teenage strops from her at all. We are going to see Matilda with her friend on Sat night.

We are up in Darlington for the press launch for the Panto next week. We are in Sleeping Beauty this year and I am playing the bad fairy Carabosse. It should be a great show and Darlington holds some happy memories of us as that is the venue where Sam and I met 18 years ago.

Thanks for reading my blog and I will write again soon.
Lots of love

Thursday 28 June 2012

Well Jack and Sam are back from Portugal and they had a great time. Jack was a little star by all accounts. He was filming for Barclaycard and he said the villa they were shooting in was amazing. I am so proud of him.
Lucy had an audition for a girl band and she sang in front of Tom form The Wanted. She was brilliant.
We went to Zoe Tylers Wedding on Sunday and had a really good laugh with a lot of our old mates. Look out for the pictures in OK mag.
Had a few charity gigs this week. Took delivery of a photocopier donated to The Rhys Daniels Trust. They are a fantastic charity. Joined the nurses and staff at Kings Oak Hospital to help raise money for cancer research. x x x
